 QUATRE ETOILES LIVE

In 1996 the Congolese supergroup Les Quatre Etoiles was invited to perform at the prestigious annual WOMAD festival in England. They gave one of the very best concerts of their career to an huge, ecstatic audience. On stage that day was the internationally-beloved legendary soukous lineup: guitar maestros Syran Mbenza and Bopol Mansiamina, singers Nyboma Mwandido, Wuta Mayi and guest vocalist Ballou Canta, soukous "riddim twins" Komba Bellow (drums) and Miguel Yamba (bass), and David Cohen on keys.

This album was available only for a very limited time on import from France, and has been an out-of-print collector's item since. It features 10 of their greatest hits and signature tunes and it proved to be the final album the original Quatre Etoiles made as a group, captured at the very top of their game. Superb melodies, sublime harmonies, brilliant guitar solos... Take this opportunity to hear some of the finest soukous ever played, by its greatest artists! This live recording is clean, recorded off the board and professionally produced--NOT a bootleg! Available now for digital downloads for the first time ever, right here on CD Baby. All proceeds go directly to the artists.
